Does your naomi save hi-scores?

I got my first naomi in april of this year, and was disappointed to find out that it won't save my hi-score when I power down. Is that normal, do your naomi systems save hi-scores?

That is normal behaviour to the best of my knowledge. High scores go on power off. However things like unlocked characters in MvC2 will stay until you change the cart.
