Got this email from my hosts today & knowing little about web stuff I have no idea on how to solve it:

It has come to our attention that your forum script was causing problems. The forum script used up all the server resources and it could not release itself even after it has been executing for a long time. This caused the server to be out of service and affected other customers on the same web server.

We advise you to check your forum script and correct the problem as soon as possible. Please ensure you are using the most updated version of the script and/or plug-ins. Please refer to the error log, which is located in your FTP server (/var/log/httpd/).

Also, we suggest that you consider upgrading to our new cPanel server which offers better support for scripts and advanced modules and is much more efficient than the Ensim Panel server. Moreover, the new cPanel server also supports more recent versions of PHP/MySQL.

Please note that there is a one-time cPanel Setup Administration Fee US$12.95 to upgrade you to the new cPanel server (no data will be migrated, you will need to republish it). Before upgrading to the new server, you will need to backup your website, files, and database to your computer, as you will no longer have access to them. Then, you will need to upload them to the new cPanel server and re-publish your website.

If you require data migration service, please let us know and we can provide an estimate of the cost for this service, which is billed per hour: US$35/hour. Please let us know if you would like to upgrade to the new cPanel server and whether you require data migration service. Its not where I have hosted pictures on 28days.com later is it ?

I can move the site just worried about moving the database, if anybody can help I can give you my admin details for the FTP server & site cp ect.

Best would be to do the cPanel upgrade, and then upgrade the forum to the latest phpBB version.

I can assist; could take a while, though (time and stuff

I also upgraded and moved a dutch arcade forum very recently, so I do have quite a lot of phpBB experience

When we had notified you regarding the issue, your forum was very busy and thus, the issue. However, there has not been any further issues. However, you may still want to consider upgrading to the new cPanel server which is much better than the Ensim server which you are currently using. I think we will have to upgrade to cPanel, if we want to use the most recent version of phpBB:

Moreover, the new cPanel server also supports more recent versions of PHP/MySQL.

You could ask them which version is currently supported..? Newest version of phpBB is definitely superb stuff.. I will pay the 12 bucks for cPanel if that is a problem

In order to make a safe backup of the current forum, the FTP password, forum admin permissions (you will have to add my account to the forum administrators), and the Site Admin (ensim) password.. Transfer of the site is not a problem. My fee is USD 0/hour, instead of USD 30/hour

Upgrade process is quite easy, the current forum design template is still available for newer versions of phpBB.

Anyway, make sure we know what versions the ISP supports on both EnSim and cPanel. I think cPanel will be the way to go for phpBB 3.0.x..

Let me first take a look before making the switch. We need to be sure we have a working backup before we start changing stuff
