Namco 246 question

Post by OldFoo »

Does anyone know (for certain) if the Namco 246 system can be used on a JVS cabinet without a JVS to JAMMA connector?

I have a Uni cab, and was thinking that this would be sweet to play in the cab.

I just don't know if it will connect directly, or if I need a converter or not.

Thanks,

Steve

System 246 & 256 are 100% JVS compliant. This means you can use the Namco JAMMA interface it comes with, or connect it with the 'USB' type connection to any Sega I/O.

Thanks Joshua.

So I would connect the USB from the 246 mobo to the I/O in the cab.

Do the audio/VGA/power cables plug into the 246 mobo from the cab as well?

I think I need one of these to connect the power cables in the Uni cab to the Namco 246 power input.

Can anyone confirm?

If correct, does ANYONE know where I can get one of these?

Thanks,

Steve

I can confirm that it is the correct adapter. This cable is supposed to come with the system.
