Hi everyone,

just got my hands on a Virtua striker 4 Triforce.

Just wondering if the triforce with compatible backwards with Naomi games on Gd-rom...

Couldn't find answer anywhere...

If not what would be involved in making feasible.

Thank you for your answers.

The GDROM device itself is compatible with the Naomi.

But you cannot play Naomi games on a Triforce. Triforce is a completely different platform, so not feasible :-)

Thank you for the answer, I thought it would be too good to be true.

So would I just need a naomi 2 board ?

I guess there would be a controls issue depending on the games as well.

They'll use the same Sega JVS I/O board but VS4 uses analogue controls (i'm sure :smt017 )but it just uses the analogue harness but also analogue sticks, Most Naomi games are digital stick apart from a few.

Naomi 1 would do you unless you specifically want to play any N2 games, but a N2 will play all N1 games so covers your ass.

If your trying to use the triforce with a Capcom I/O you will not get analogue controls using that, need to be the Sega JVS I/O.

Thanks.

I got the Sega I/O so no issue there.

VS4 uses analogue controls indeed.

I'm in the process of getting a naomi 2 set up.

Will have to make a new control panel too.

Might have to sell the vs4 set up to finance all that.
