Post by OldFoo »

i have buy some, i wait to recieve it, and try.

the idea is to make CPS2 kick harness universal (it's from me)

i have many board, but different kick harness connector,

so the idea of differen adaptor appear, i ask s3gear, etc...

and now possible to have CPS2 Universal Adaptors

for naomi, cps1, mk1, mk2-3, ki1-2

maybe there is others motherboards with different connector need but i don't know (for example, what is the kick connector for atomiswave ?)

oh it strange that you start with a cps2 connector it would be simple to start with a cps1 connector which works with F3 and old pcb like fighter's history etc and just do a 10 pins to cps2 adaptor or 10 pins to MK adaptor but it's a nice idea ^^ mine are made from cps1 kick harness

my answer is in 3 points:

because i don't old board like this...

also, i think CPS2 connector is more used than CPS1, so there

is more people with CPS2-Kick harness (it's my mind, lol)

and finally, CPS2-Kick harness is more powerfull say like CPS1... (lol)

I'm confused as to how these work?? :smt017 :smt017

I have a JAMMA>JVS adapter in my uni. I used the extra button loom from this & stuck an 8pin VLR socket on it.

I then use the necessary kick loom, and solder / crimp the pins for a VLP plug, and bingo! I keep the kick harness attached, and just swap out the individual looms, which I keep connected to the game boards.

Acutally, when i re-look at it, I think I understand now...

Is the CPS2 loom permanently attached to your cab, and you use a male end to plug into the socket, and then have the white plugs connecting to the board??

I used to just use an 8 pin DIN plug ('cos I'm a tight Yorkshireman!)

yes, because in my mind, i think it's very interesting to make

CPS2 kick harness to become Universal Kick Harness

because around me, some people also have only CPS2 kick harness, and i am not alone in the world !!!! to think the same thing (loog at the pool).

(i also have a CPS1 kick harness, but i am still don't have solder it, lol.)

so i think it's a victory !!!

(CPS2 kick harness is Universal Kick Harness, lol)
