DJ Infinity wrote:It is mentioned earlier that when using the Capcom I/O, you do not need a separate power supply. This is NOT true when using the GD-Rom upgrade. The I/O converter does not supply the N1 motherboard and the gd-rom unit with enough power, due to slight internal power management differences between N1 & N2.

That is taken from the main site. It doesn not say that having an extra supply would ruin anything. I don't see how this is possible. So If someone more knowledgeable could explain this to me it would be appreciated (Andy, Josh, Or Grant) :smt020

The supply voltages to the IC's will be varying in different parts of the board, this is bad.

How would the board be connted to the PSU if the Capcom I/O is providing power to it? Do you even understand what I am saying? Layman's terms, use Capcom I/O ONLY to power board. Use PSU to power the GD-ROM ONLY. If you do that I do not see how the board can be affected. Nothing would change. Geez :smt020
