Initial D v 3 card reader connection error

Hey guys, long time no see!

I'm trying once again to get card readers working for my IDv3 in Crazy Taxi upright cabs. The game itself is working fine. From there, here's what I did:

Added in sub-harness (pink and blue) to allow power to go to the card reader power supply (purchased from Europe - could voltages differences be my problem?)

Made connections to the card reader itself

And to CN8 on the motherboard.

Here's the error message I get

Is there anything else I'm missing? I've been trying for the better part of a year to make this work; now that I've got basically all parts from a friend's machine (aside from the card reader power supplies), I can't imagine what's wrong.

There are multiple versions of the card reader. They are not interchangeable and are game specific. Are you certain you have the right type for this game?
