Sega Naomi Net Board?

Just found this on E-Bay, what the hell is it?

That is a communication board. It allows 2 or more Naomi boards to setup Network play for games that support it. For network play you need at least 2 Naomi systems, 2 of the same game, 2 comm. boards and 2 fiber optic cables.
