error 03 naomi I I NEED HELP
ERROR 03 is a communication problem between the Naomi and DIMM board.
This could be caused by any of the following:
a)Bent pin(s)
b)Loose board (DIMM)
c)Faulty DIMM
Possible secondary causes could be:
a)No usb connection (Funny things happen from this. :smt102)
b)Bad security chip connection
c)Bad SCSI connection (less likely)
There's plenty of causes, but since the error is showing up on different Naomi boards, it is most likely the DIMM that is the culprit.
Try opening and reseating everything in the DIMM module and see if this helps.
If your Naomi is giving a plain black screen, then there is either not enough power, partial power is present (for example, 12v but no 5v)
or the Naomi is dead. Sorry for the lack of good news. :smt110
