go-kun sorry for jacking your thread.

Help this man out!

No worries-and congrats on getting yours up and going...I'm hoping mine turns out to be just a wiring issue as well rather than something horrible ;)

go-kun, the 12 pin head on the right of the photo are the extra button controls for player one and two. You have to buttons 5 and 6 there. I'm looking for a website that is up that shows the pinouts.

Thanks for the reply! In this case the game doesn't use the kick harness at all...project justice(my main test cart for the sake of simplicity) is a 4 btn game...figured out the that the btns go: 1,2,skip3,4,5,skip 6, which puts the 2 kicks directly beneath the 2 punches on a 6 btn setup so that at least makes sense to me ;p And luckily all those are wired from the jamma harness too!

Anyhoo, at this point I'm pretty convinced it's the cab wiring...I hooked pin 26(1p btn 5) into one of my kick harness connections on the supergun and voila-everything works on the test rig(supergun) so at least I can enjoy it while I'm trying to rewire that damn cabinet...cause at this point the only reasonable explanation I can think of for it to work fine on the supergun and glitch on the cab is that something on the cab isn't right somewhere....So as crappy as it may be to rewire my whole cab(or at least all the controls) at least it's better than no explanation at all. I'll keep everyone posted on my progress in case it might help someone else later on...in the meantime any and all ideas are welcomed if it means I don't have to rewire the whole cab-lol!

The strange mapping of the buttons is a characteristic of the sega I/O's. However, the Capcom I/O uses the standard mapping and no re-wiring is necessary (unless you don't have the right kick harness ;) ).

Ah! That explains a lot then! Thanks for the info. :)
