im sorted now so all good 
I just took a nibbling tool to mine and cut out a hole to fit a NEMA style standard computer power jack. Now I can use a regular computer power cord.

Black wire is Hot, white wire is Neutral. Ground goes to a screw inside the power supply that contacts the metal shell...
