Ok, here are the pics of everything.

I hope this can help. At minimum, perhaps someone can tell me what I should connect to what. Or, if I'm missing something.

For ease, I've labeled the connectors on the trackball loom, as well as the connectors on the cabinet loom.

Please refer to them in suggesting what should connect to what.

That would be a great help.

Thanks,

Steve

You don't need to connect the trackball to have the I/O boards detected. All you need is:

naomi->i/o board ->trackball I/O board , all USB cables

you could even connect:

naomi->trackball I/O board

and enter test-mode to see if it is ok or not

yes like invzim said it should run with just the sega i/o and golf i/o connected

perhaps your sega io has a broken usb out connector,i have seen that before

I certainly understand what the last two posts are saying.

However, if someone could also tell me which connectors should go together, that would also be very helpful.

Also, Andy keeps referring to +5v for the trackball I/O.

Can anyone tell from the pics if everything is connected on that I/O as it should be?

Thank you!

Bloody horrible US wiring.. Fook knows why they used molex..

Nothing but problems when running other games, you won't be able to play VS4 panel till you convert the wiring to Export/Jap spec.

I have a Japanese loom already in the cabinet.

I just needed to use the US loom because that's what the Golf CP was wired as...

I just don't know how to connect it. The manual is useless in this regard.

From golf panel you should only have one connector

12pin molex

should have the following pins

7 wires (4 view buttons, 1 start, +12V and GND)

The trackball should hook straight to the Trackball I/O (JST connector).

Those other plugs should not be used (I noticed some are anlaogue connectors the 9pin ones).

The 12 pin molex coming from the CP is the first picture (I called the connector "B".)

I don't know if I should connect this to "Y" (white connector on cabinet) or "X" (red connector on cabinet.)

Also, something to note:

When I connect "A" on the CP loom to "TT" on the cabinet loom, the red LED light on the Trackball I/O comes on.

Should this be the case?
