hey steve!
i'm pretty sure this has to do with the switchs setup, i already saw this when i tried to play cvs2 with a sega io rev1, are you sure the USB cable is correctly set into the IO? also is the selection jumper ok? if i remember right there is a switch to select from A to B...

First thing you should check is to see that the system settings is set to one or two players and not 4 players. This 4p setting changes the max amount of buttons per player.
The Jamma I/O Rev. A does not have the A/B select switch. This is an option that was available on Rev. B. You may have to use a different I/O to get this game to work. The only modification for the Rev. A board I know of is to get rid of the counter, which will not help your situation.

ok i got it working.
what i've do:
up the voltage to 5,15 on original sega PSU (naomi power)
drop to 5.00V the voltage on cab PSU
switch the jumper to "A" position
connect power cable to I/O board
without one of these point the I/O don't work. :smt012
this is the I/O rev A (i think, the stiker say SP5002-A) picture:
it's very strange because REV.B I/O work flawless... :smt017
thanks to all for your help :smt006

My mistake about the A/B select switch. I missed it the last time I looked.

Hello all
a friend of mine has some problem with his naomi 2 and marvel vs capcom in its windy 2 cab
He gets the same error message as STV but the strange thing is that his naomi 2 is hook up in JVS (windy 2 is JVS standard) He also have a jvs to jamma in his cab but he told me it's not hook up
so i don't see why naomi tells him "jamma i/o ...."
so if there some one who know where the prob comes from just tell me ^^
thanks a lot

I've always found problems when the 5V is too low.
VT was a major problem initailly for me.
Is the N2 using a GD, and how is it all powered. Remember the GD will sap a load of juice too
