Hi every one,I'm a newer with the sega-naomi.And now I met some questions, please help me!!
I got some sega Jamma I/O pcb, they look same but with different number.
I use "guity gear x" to try them and there is a problem:
I try the I/O with the number"SP5001-A" first:
In JVS Test it is perfectly:
In JVS Test---Input Test:
Then I try the second I/O number"SP5002-A" with the same game and the same cable:
In JVS Test it looks correctly:
But in JVS Test---Input Test, the "COIN" display"8000 8000" and I can't coin in the game:
Last I try the I/O number"SP5001-B":
It looks like no connect with the I/O board:
What can I do with the I/O board number"SP5002-A" and "SP5001-B"?
Please help me!!! Thank you

This issue has been identified, and posted in the FAQ section. Sega Naomi I/O's will not work properly without connecting a coin counter.
I hope this helps!

Add a +5Vline with a 100k ohm resistor to the meter lines, it works a treat.

The 'resistor option' is always available, of course. I just can never seem to remember the resistor value. :smt110

Would you please answer simply and clearly?
Why my"SP5002-A" I/O board display "COIN 8000 8000"?Is there any version and the compatible with the I/O board?
That is difficult!!!!
Help me.

So for the resistor value, it's 100k! On the Sega I/O post I made, it was 100, no wonder it didn't work! Awesome! Good luck w/your I/Os dude; are you understanding what everyone's telling you?

The I/O that shows as 'not connected' could have a problem with it. It might not be working. That or it was not wired with power correctly. The problem is not compatibility, but connection/dead issue. I'm not sure why you have 2 I/O, but just use the one that works. :smt045
Like what was mentioned before, these I/O will NOT work properly until the counter connection issue is resolved. Fist, connect a counter or 100k ohm resistor as mentioned, then your game will 'coin'.

Hi sir,Do you mean I would add a +5V line with 100k oum on the I/O board?
How and where to add it?
Are there all "SP5002-A"I/O board need add it?
Why "SP5001-A"I/O board do not need?
Why my "SP5001-B"I/O board display no I/O?Is it broken?
I'm now have just 10 naomi kit,some with capcom's I/O,some with "SP5001-A"I/O,these no problem,but some with "SP5002-A" I can't coin.The Input test shows 8000 8000.
I use the same cable,I don't know why 5001-A can coin but 5002-A can't coin.
what differences with the 2 I/O board?
5001-B I think it maybe broken,right?
Thank you all!!!!!!1
