Connecting Kick Harness with Sega V1 I/O

Post by OldFoo »

Hey guys I figured I should ask here since I havent been able to find an answer anywhere else.

I have a Naomi GD-ROM setup that was originally a Virtua Golf, I have since changed the games to Tennis and now Capcom vs SNK 2. But I cannot find a place to connect a kick harness.

This is the I/O I have

This is the cabinet it comes in

Do I need to buy the Capcom I/O or is there a place for the kick harness somewhere else?

You don't need a kick harness for JVS, they all go to the I/O board you have along with the other buttons.

Hopefully you have something like this installed in your cab:

If that's the case, you might want this one:

The Sega-Naomi main website has the manual for CvS2 here --->CvS2 PDF Manual<--- in the resource section.

Just to round this up: As invzim said, you won't need the kick harness, but the JVS Harness ( NOA-60022 [60pin Digital Wire Harness] ) from the first link. This plugs into the long connector on your I/O and features all the buttons, not only 4 like on the Jamma I/O (which requires the kick harness). I don't know what type of control panel you have for MvC2 but if it's a Sega one, it should connect to this 60 pin harness. If it is a US cab, it might have different connectors, if I remember correctly.
