Games that support Cabinet Linking

Hi All.

Is there a somewhat consise list of games that support cabinet linking with comm board? (The white comm board that sits in between MB and Cart)

Can this setup be used with dimms or do you need dimms w/ ethernet port?

Do you need Two carts / GD-ROMs. One for each cabinet in the COMM board setup?

If there a list of consise list of games that support cabinet linking with beach spikers link kit?

There was o thread on the old forum by prowlerman??? but I search and could not find it.

For game linking, you need:

1) 2* complete Naomi setups

2) 2* copies of the same game w/same software version

3) 2* com/link boards (works with carts or Dimm setup)

4) 2* Toslink fiber-optic cables

[*=or more depending on amount of players]

As for the list of linkable games, you are right. There was someone who made a list a while back, but I don't know what happened to it. The games I know of are:

Gundam

OutTrigger

Initial D

Heavy Metal

Mazan

Ninja Assault

Biohazard

Virtual On

Wave Runner

F355 Twin (maybe others of this series)

Club Kart

Ring Out 4x4 (I think)

Slashout (I think)

Spikers Battle (I think)

Wild Riders (Not sure)

If anyone wants to add to/correct this list is welcome to do so.

Spawn is another linkable game, up to 4 players

That is what I was afraid of.

Gundam (I think I have two of these to try it)

OutTrigger (I only have one of these and too much $$$ for #2)

Initial D (Probably will never have NAOMI driving setup :smt011)

Heavy Metal (Do not own one)

So with out spending BIG $$$ for another V-On or Outtrigger looks like Gundam is the only title I have that would be of use for these. :smt010

Now if NE1 has list of games that will link with beach spikers kit that would be interesting.

I think I have a number of the games that will link with the beach spikers kit and I am pretty sure you only need one NAOMI setup to run this?

If i recall correctly Spawn had one of those beach spikers link kit and he tried other games. I will message him the link of this post.

Well i succefully tested this :

Beach Speakers with 1 N2 mobo + 2 IO BOARD + the beach spikers kit* and 2 cabs.

Powerstone 2, WWF Royal Rumble too.

In fact you can play in a NBA JAM cab @4players with those games, just plug the 1st Iobard to the jamma connector and the 2nd ioboard to a jamma connector wired only to 3rd and 4th players

I tested succefully VF4 FT with 1 player panel on 2 Universal Cabinet and card readers. Great ++ cause you can give a VF4 FT card to a friend and keep wins and loses.

*the beach spikers kit is 2 board (jvs+sound+power+vga) and cables (jvs+power+vga), as it is just duplicate jvs ect..it means that you can play in a cabinet such as NBA to play 4 players !
