Ok, Say I have a disc with no security chip, and a chip from the same game, but different disc.
will the chip work with any disc of the same name or are they tied to a disc, not a title?
just wondering, because I could save a LOAD finding them seperately.
note: I'm talking about ones from the same region, just to let you know.

Your question is a bit confusing, but if you mean you have a chip that is a match to the proper game, then it will work. But is
must be the same game (same version and region). Take a look here to see which chip goes with what game--->
Naomi serial list.

I believe that you're asking if the there are say, Beach Spiker chips that will work with any Beach Spikers disc...
or
If each disc has it's own corresponding security chip.
Assuming that I'm interpreting your question correctly, I believe the answer is that the discs are independent from the chip.
Meaning, any US Beach Spikers disc will work with any US Beach Spikers security chip.
(Please correct me someone if I'm mistaken.)

Pretty much US Beach Spikers disc will work with any US Beach Spikers security chip.
So I could probably search around my local arcade distro's for "Junk Parts" and put the games together slowly.

As long as you have a working security chip, can't you just copy and burn the corresponding game ala Dreamcast backups until you get the proper game disc?
I don't suppose people here would consider that piracy though? :smt018
