sega JVS I/O : buttons not detected anymore ?

Post by OldFoo »

Hello,

Here is a problem I have with my Sega JVS I/O, don't know if someone experienced it already ?

My sega jvs i/o worked just fine with my Initial D2, and then I change games, I do some stuff with system options, and back to Initial D2 again.

Now the pins for the digital buttons don't work anymore !

I checked everything I got in mind : voltage is perfect on the power supply, both 12V/GND and 5V/GND cables supplying the I/O are fine (all pins of it). I tested the I/O in the system test mode (even in game test mode) : the board is recognized, the analog inputs work, but no digital inputs. (they do work on my jamma I/O).

Maybe a hint : I don't know if it's normal or not, but the voltage difference between the digital controls pins on the I/O and the Ground is 0,2V. Seems low compared to the Jamma I/O, which is around 5V ?

Ok, I solved the problem :

on the 60 pins connector, pins 1/2 have to be connected to 3/4 to get the 5V the buttons need to work.

When I received my I/O card, there must have been some energy left in the capacitors so it worked just for one time !
