World Series Baseball Analog connections

Post by OldFoo »

I am trying to set up a World Series baseball in a New Astro City cabinet. I have the control panel and the analog controls all plug into the 10 pin kick harness.

Where on the Naomi I/O or Motherboard do the analog controls plug into?

I cannot see where these connections are supposed to route.

Was there another harness I am missing that plugs into the kick harness and hooks up to something?

Thanks.

if you grab the wsb schematic, it shows they connect to the 26 pin connector on the i/o.

which I/O do you have?

I have the Sega I/O. It is Jamma and it says SP-5002A on the label that is on the biggest chip.

Is there a prebuilt cable that would normally come with the control panel?

In the manual that came with it I saw a schematic that showed which wires were which, but it did not seem to have a schematic for the I/O.

I can submit a photo of the I/O if needed.

If your cab is not wired for JVS, connecting analog inputs to the Sega I/O can be done with this harness:

From what I understand, you will need an analogue splitter cable as well.

(Please correct me if I'm mistaken.)

Is this harness compatible with the Capcom I/O? Can the Capcom I/O receive the analogue swing signal for World Series or Dynamite Baseball?

No, the Capcom I/O is a JAMMA I/O. The JAMMA standard does not allow for analog connections.

Thanks, Cageman. Though it's bad news for me, it's good to be a little closer to getting things going.
