Lindbergh I/O Malfunction

Hi,

this is my first post in the forum so I also take the oportunity to introduce myself. I'm from spain, and I have some machines like two Naomi Universal Cabinet with their naomis, Ridge Racer 2 twin, Time Crisis 2 twin, DDR Supernova, etc; and I've 22 years.

My problem is with a Naomi Universal Cabinet that originally have a Lindbergh with Sega Tennis 3. The lindbergh was sold, but in this cabinet i change the lindbergh PSU for a Naomi PSU, and I put a Naomi GD-Rom. No control panel works in this cabinet. I've changed the panel for other two (other from naomi, and other JVS for Tekken 5), I've checked the cabinet Wiring, and in my opinion it's ok, I change the Naomi and no works, but If I put these Naomi in other cabinet, the control Panel works Ok. It could be the Lindbergh I/O the source of this problem? It could be caused by other source?

I take some pictures and a video for help with the problem:

No error is shown, only the control panel don't works. In the YouTube video you can see how in the JVS test mode of the Naomi I'm trying the control panel and how I don't get any response.

What are the correct voltage for control panel to test it with multimeter?

Does the test/service button work on the metal bracket which the I/O board is on, near the volume control?

The I/O board only needs 5V to work.

None of this are working. The volume control works ok. When I need to acces to naomi Test mode, I must make it directly on the naomi.

go into test on the naomi, do jvs test, if it is detected, and perform an input test.

if it is not detected, check usb cable.

if it is detected, but no input works, then i suspect the i/o is bad.

Hi,

I've entered in naomi test mode. JVS board is recognized. I've checked USB cable, I substitute USB cable. Then, how do you suggest that could be the I/O, I put it to another Naomi Universal Cabinet and it works properly; and the I/O of these cabinet (JVS Naomi 1 I/O) I put it in the first cabinet, with no result and the same singn than the lindbergh I/O.

I'm totally annoyed and confused, someone have another idea?

@Andy-> I've tested the I/O voltages and they are OK.

PD: Naomi recongizes Lindbergh I/O as JVS 2.0, not 3.0

I tried to change the wiring from I/O to the CPO, with the same wiring but of other cabinet. With that change works ok. I'm testing the retired wiring, but if I can't detect the problem I would want buy a new one; Andy, do you have stock of this sega part? I saw in your shop and I don't foun anything.

Thanks Cageman, it's that. I've finished to check the wiring and it's ok less a semi-out pin in one AMP connector. I'll fix it tomorrow and check if that were the problem.

Thanks for your help!
