Yet another Gun calibration problems question

Done a Gun project in a Naomi upright. Everything works. Well, not.
The calibration works without problems...as long the Gun is pointed At the screen. But since it's impossible to play without re-loading i.e point the gun outside the screen, then, it starts to drift. Alot!
Does anyone knows what causes this?
Some add info:
Senors all lit up
Scratchy gun lens
The 12v pin on the gunboard (gun 1) does not give 12v. More like 5v.
