Sega Gun

Anyone got any idea how to take the damn metal things from the ends of the Sega Gun cables. I took off the 3 mini screws but the cable still won't come off

Ages since I've seen one as we did away with them - when stretched they are like razor blades.
IIRC the flexible tube unscrews from an internal mandril.
