Also, would you happen to know if MVC2 is compatible with the dreamcast controller?

i have gotten 5 pin jst cnnecors that fit but just wanted to make sure it was a 6 pin etc.

h5p-shf-aa with pins shf-002t-08bs this is per cntroler ports.
im speculating there is player 3 and 4 also but havent tested it yet
