Sega-Naomi

Hey all,



Sorry for the newbie question but, I am planning on purchasing a Naomi setup from overseas, but all the sales reps from both ECL and COE, offer a 3.3V Power supply with the purchase. I am getting a Naomi with a Capcom I/O and putting it in a refurbished Street Fighter II cabinet with a new JAMMA connector, a new CPS-2 kick harness, and new power supply that has the the +-5V, and 12V respectively. Do I really need the 3.3V power supply? I thought that was for only I/O converters that were not the Capcom unit. Thanks for the help all. BTW, this is going into a US cabinet.

No, you don't need it. The Capcom I/O will grab the 3.3v from the 12v line and supply it to the Naomi. You would only need it with the Sega Jamma I/O.

Kool, thanks man. I was getting worried there, I thought I would have to revamp the powersupply. Happy arcade gaming here I come.
