Split screen issue

I've just hooked up a Naomi 1 to my astro city (using a capcom i/o) and everything works fine, except, the screen is split in two - i.e. two copies of the same screen split vertically.
I've tried changing the rom and altering DIPSW pin 4 but with no luck.
Any ideas?

Theres also some dips on the Capcom I/O board itself

That's probably the cause of your problem. There is a switch to the right and left of the Reset push-button. The one to the left toggles between composite and separate horizontal/vertical signaling. Push it to the right (towards reset button).

I've tried changing the switch on the i/o board itself but that doesn't help - it was already in the position you suggested and switched to the left the screen just rolls.
Any other ideas?

What game was in it originally? Maybe this cab has a medium-res monitor. :smt017

Sounds like you are running the mobo at 31khz, when you should be running it at 15khz for your astro monitor. Flip dipswitch #1 on the mobo.

Wow, I must have skipped over that. In the original question, dip #4 was mentioned. Like Dave said, you toggle resolutions with dip #1.
