Hi every body





Well i have 3 boards with me ..3 with problems

..1 --sound initialize defect on the screen ( model SEGA 2 C /CRX)

i think i found the problem ..ROM are with defect

2 -- black screen on virtua sticker ? ( NOT SURE ) model SEGA 2B

3-- Black screen on VIRTUA COP 2 (NOT SURE ) MODEL SEGA 2 A



some questions for expert guys



how can I test model 2 A if the grafic /video board are with defects ..can I test with a model 2 B ???? ( for see if the game is working ..or for find the defect for exemple

I saw we can adapt model 2B or C ?? for the model A ?

how to do that ?



Can I change my game for another game ? fo exemple my virtua sticker for DEAD OR ALIVE ?

I just need to EPROM reprogramation ??



where I can find this ROM games ?? can I do a trade with another games owners ??



i have HITACHI EPROM with defect .. can i change for another EPROM from another supplies? ( i am a newbee on programmation )i just have the programing machin ..and know to read rom and save ROM i still didn`t remove EPROM and put another ROM on it





I have daytona USA 1 out of order too can i adapt something from the model 2 ?





well lot stuffs for sure ...but i want to see working theses old expensive games too ( out of order don`t give money )

Quick answer without working versions of a 2A/2B/2C then you won't be able to test.



But on 2A it is most likely the Video board, on 2B/2C it can only be the main board.



Some quick notes about the different platforms



V Cop 1 is a model 2 (basic version)



Virtua Cop 2 is a Model 2A - double layer pcb assembly plus a 3rd layer ROM

board.



The next board system was model 2B - no gun games here - here the double layer

board was combined onto one pcb and it had an additional ROM pcb. Different

memory map to the 2A



Finally - there was the 2C - house of the dead - similar config to 2B but

slightly different - different memory map



The 4 sets are not compatible with each other - the MASK roms can be used on

different boards where supported, but the EPROM versions (prog code) are

different for each version.



If you want them fixed, then contact Ken at www.irepairsega.com as that guy is the master.

another question ..i have a eprom defected i think ..i tested with my eprom program tes and i have 2 pins defect

i would like to know if this eprom HN27C4096HG-85 can be change by a MX27C ..( I SAW THAT ON ANOTER SITE ) cause not easy to find this eprom ( the original eprom is very expensive too )
