Popular conversion at the moment it seams & I'd thought I'd use ID as it makes a good cheap way to get a Sega Universal driver cab:

Here is how it started:

Whilst ID is not a bad game, its also not really a quick blast kinda game like OR2 & artwork...well :smt013 not to mention the bus steering wheel :smt019

Time to tidy things up inside:

Add a RJ45 splitter for easy unplugging of the .net cable:

Image

Add 1 Chihiro & .net dimm for easy game loading: ;)

Image

Personally I'm not a fan of coin towers for home use & the monitor remote board placement was horrendous so its all been moved to the side for ease of use:

Here is how she stands now, next to my New Astro City which is just visible:

More to come, just getting the sides repainted Red & new art applied, smaller topper as not a fan of the original, along with the Scud race dash, OR2 wheel + more this week...

Thanks to AGS for supplying ID sac cab, all parts, painting service & art.

Never played ID myself really but understand you're turning it into OR2. Looking forward to see some more.

Well after a busy at the bank followed by a trip to Andy's to pick up:

Outrun 2 side artwork L&R

OR2 seat artwork

Scud dash, OR2 wheel, badge & artwork for dash

Base floor middle section repainted black instead of the pointless grey

L&R Driver sides painted in Ferrari red

New shifter inc base plastic

View change/start panel inc buttons & artwork

I started the re-build...

First up take some sides:

Apply some art & screw to the upper base:

Finish the re-build, put the new dash on inc wheel, apply yet more art ect & there you have it:

Few things left to do to complete:

Apply the art to the seat back & put it back.

Get a shifter upper plastic.

Sort out the lit topper & marquee (MCS)

Still I'm quite impressed on this projects progress :D

Yes as is all wiring hence why ID is the game of conversion choice, even for Sega themselves ;)
