After Burner Climax , Outrun 2, Race TV are not Naomi games ;-)

Planning to run Lindbergh in this fashion as well, I suppose?

Crackstation,

Very nice videos, but I don't like to use Toys as I/O interfaces

I like to play using the real hardware I/Os, or at least arcade quality I/Os

For the moment i'm goint to make a control panel for Afterburner Climax, using two Sanwa Analogue Flight Sticks, like the ones used on Planet Harriers, JLK-GF2-AT.

An offcourse for play in a sitdown cabinet.

android wrote:Yesterday I discovered that Sega has used a new concept of keychip on the export version of ID5.

Sega has improve his security, replacing the PIC16F648A used on the other games with a new concept using a more powerfull microcontroller, in a small 44 pine QFN package, a PIC16F886, with 8KBytes of internal flash memory and 384 Bytes of Ram, plus 256 bytes of E2PROM.

There is also a small 8 pins soic device, that I suposse is an I2C E2PROM memory.

Some pictures of the new Security keychip:

The most amazing is that the small pcb feets inside a standard keychip case.

Here one image of ID5.

It's chinese fake, it's not an original sega product.. it's a bootleg..

ID5 doesn't not exist in Export, Sega told me the license fee's for an English release was too much money.

Also ID5 is DVD DVP-00070, keychip is 253-5508-0x5xx (can't remember the exact number, 565 or something like that), it's foil backed sticker.

Chinese always use there own security method on clones, to protect the hacking..

Chances are it won't work DVP-0070 ID5 release which is the valid one.

Just look at your ingame shot, there is Japanese text on there.. lol..
