Hello, everybody.
I am about to get a working HOTD2 Naomi board, but I am wondering what will I need to play it. Some questions:
1. What kind of I/O will I need? Sega Jamma I/O? Sega non-Jamma I/O? Capcom I/O? Other?
2. Does it need any special guns or will standard Happ guns work with it? I have both Happ guns for Area 51/Maximum Force/Site 4, as well as Atomiswave guns. Will it work with either or both?
Any assistance regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated.

You need the sega guns and the Gun I/O. Also the sensors.
Sega I/O will run it fine.
There are 2 types of gun setups:
1) Type I - This type of setup is like the old style Nintendo gun with DuckHunt. The screen 'flashes' and the game detects whether or not you hit the target.
2) Type II - This type uses an array of sensors that is embedded into the monitor bezel as seen here--->Type II setup. The sensors can be seen as purple dots around the video display. This type of system 'tracks' the gun much like the Nintendo Wii does. This system is more accurate, but more complex as well as more expensive.
In this case, HOTD2 uses Type II. So the Happ guns probably won't work.
