Naomi 2 that says "no signal"

Post by OldFoo »

I have a wild riders that i brought out of storage and put on location. it worked fine for a day or two then when the owner turned it on one morning the screen said no signal or no input...i can't remember which. i un-pluged everything and re-seated the game cartridge and after turning it off and on a time of to and it came back on briefly but locked up in the first game. i turned it off and back on to reset it but it never came back on...only saying no signal. switched the naomi system out for another and the game works now. does anyone have any idea what may be wrong with the naomi 2 system?

common issue, the bga chips get hot, and fail..

u could just have bad or plugged up fans, check to make sure the fans are not clogged up on the motherboard.

i contacted irepairsega on fixing a n2 that i have, if you "press" on the one chip, it starts, and plays fine, his response "not worth fixing", as he would want to remove and reball all three bga chips, and he charges 100-150 per chip.
