To all the U.S guys

Post by OldFoo »

I've seen everybody talk about how they find these jewels in the dust some where. But has anybody here went to an Arcade Auction before?Every month theres one going on. The closest for me is in Winston Salem and you can find some freaken sweet deals. I've seen CM's go for like 400 bucks tops. If anyones intereted in making a trip to NC sometime we could meet up and see what we can find :smt020

I live in Raleigh NC and have been to WS auctions.

Best deal are on the BIG machines

Sit down Drivers

CM Deluxe

etc

I might be interested in going to one in the future but the only reason would be to look for another universal cabinet. We would end up in bidding war if you were looking for the same :D

lol. I'm more on the wooden cabs myself. But hey we should head to one sometime. I would go to the one August 9th but I got to freaking work :smt013 But theres one coming up in October though so looks like its time for me to start saving up :smt066

I have picked up many machines at Auction, and yep the Big ones really do not sell well, whether its a CM deluxe, or even sit down drivers, the last auction in FL prices were crazy low! Dedicated Sit Down Wild Riders for $325 working, our next auction is in November I think

I have 3 x MOTK Woody Cabinets here which are FREE! no parts inside thou, but art is mint

I tell you I've always wanted a HOD2 wooden cabby but they usually go pretty high at the auctions up here. Yet the CM's are practically nothing to some people. It wasn't till recently I discovered that they use the same system and all I got to do is sawp carts :smt013 Looks like I'm going for a CM cab next chance :smt020

yeah a very nice HOTD (not HOTD2) sold at last auction for $700 which isnt bad as was a really nice example, but then something like the CM Deluxe will struggle to get good money, the operators dont want something that size on location, I know an operator that has a CM Deluxe, he says no one ever plays it, only the teens use the dark room for other things :smt008 , so waiting on that to come up :D

I've never actually played the game myself. Most HOD1's go for about 550 or so at Winston Salem. But the auctions they have theres 10% buyers fee, plus 6.75% sales tax in N.C. Plus a freaking 3% fee if you use anything but cash :smt009 But despite that I've found some sweet ones for dirt cheap. Next time I'm buying the first Naomi rail shooter I see so I can convert to HOD2 :smt020
