Nope, thats pretty much how the game looks on 31k.

For whatever reason, the developers didn't supply the 2D character artwork for the high resolution mode. The system just 'scales' the characters so you get the pixelization in 31k mode. This happens in just about all of the Naomi fighters and is a big oversight in my opinion. :smt011

As I had mentioned before:

joshua3dg wrote:VGA monitors do not support 15k resolution. That is for standard (low-res) arcade monitors.

If you are going to use 15k mode, you need to get an arcade monitor. And, yes, DIP switch 1 is moved to 'off' to enable this mode.

I dunno maybe it's just me. I have 2 setups of the game, one ran on a CRT VGA monitor the other on a 24in LCD (HPLP2465) the setup on the CRT (Monivision) looks a lil better than the one running on a LCD :smt020 However I enjoy both graphic & gameplay. Just my 2 cents :smt020

That's pretty normal. It's going to look better on the CRT than the VGA because of how VGA display technology works differently. CRTs are very flexible when changing from one resolution to the next. However, LCDs have a 'native resolution', so when displaying something other than native, 'scaling' will occur and the image will look more blocky or pixelated.

I finally got this whole Naomi thing figured out :) I ran the MVSC2 on the 24 inch and it didn't look good, I tried a 22 inch and it looked a lot better. here's some pics of my progress so far. I really wanna get this thing done with, so excited already to play the game the proper way.
