Ok, just bought a Naomi mobo w/region switch + Capcom I/O online. Should be here next week or so. Supposed to be 100% working. I'm currently running a Taito Egret 1 with a Nanao 29" Dual Res monitor that's auto-switching between low and medium res. I don't know the kHz it runs at. I also don't know what kind of power supply I'm currently running. Have never needed to check but the Naomi hardware sounds so finicky...
Do I need anything special to hook up my system? Is it bad for the Naomi to take it in and out of your cabinet on a semi-regular basis? I have about 40 JAMMA boards and I switch em up like carts.
I have one cart so far, Cosmic Smash. Do you need to screw the carts into the mobo to play em, or can you just set them in?
Finally...does it matter what region you have the board set to to play a cart? I don't want to fry it cause it's set to the wrong region. Maybe I'm just being paranoid...but I've never used a Naomi setup and I'd rather know kind of what I'm doing ahead of time.
Oh...and is there a list of what's out for carts for the Naomi 1?
Thanks in advance!

There is a list for Naomi 1 carts, GD-ROMs and the same thing for Naomi 2 too.

The cart will not fry based on region
You do not need to have the screws in to play. I usually keep mine with no screws in for easy swapping.
