Okay.

I have the USB cable connected (correctly, I believe.)

I have the two wiring connectors connected (also correctly, I believe.)

However, here's the error that I get:

I/O BD IS NOT CONNECTED TO NAOMI BD.

I don't know what this is referring to.

If anyone can help here, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Something is either shorted or disconnected. Without checking it out myself, I couldn't say what exactly is the problem. If you have a meter, you need to check all connections. Since you haven't mentioned it, you need to also refer to the manual and wiring diagrams to make sure you made the right connections. This is all basic troubleshooting steps, things we can't do for you.

Have both I/O boards got +5V?? Check the lights to make sure they are getting power.

This is my earlier thread about getting it to work on an European Universal. Not sure if it is different with you.

There is a red light on both the trackball I/O and the Naomi mobo I/O.

Thanks for the link.

These are exactly the same messages I've gotten. The first one was before I connected the USB.

The second after I connected the USB.

The only difference is, I have a US wiring loom in the cabinet already, and the CP has US connectors.

I would think it would be pretty simple. But, I certainly don't profess to know what I'm talking about...

I really don't understand the issue you guys would be having..

Try this

USB Cable from Naomi to the Trackball I/O (V-Golf I/O) then the daisy chain the main I/O.

This should 100% work, you have to-do the same on Outrigger (if my memory serves me right!)

I thought the trackball I/O only had the one USB port. :smt017 The VG manual shows this order: Trackball controller->Trackball I/O->Naomi I/O->Naomi mobo. The manual also shows a JVS I/O (not jamma), if that matters at all.

Yes your right..

You know if things are correct:

Go into the test menu

Go to JVS I/O

First Node should be 837-13551

When you goto the next node it should be

837-13938

TBH Can't see why people are having trouble, providing both I/Os have +5V and are connected they should be 100%

Second Node should be 837-
