Got my CvsS cart and it's working, so I guess my MvsC2 is the problem.

I hate to rain on people's parade. But Ken told me that there are a lot of faulty and or fake MVSC2 carts making their rounds on E-bay. Best bet is to buy from reputable dealers and or forum members. :smt020

Has anyone seen a Naomi cart with MX eproms before? looks like it could be a fake.

Its really only the NeoGeo scene (ok, STV too) where you can be assured that MX = Bootleg.

Macronix made some nice large Mbit sized memories and so they were popular with the pirates but they also produce a large amount of MaskRom products which is what you have there on your (original) board.

Games made by Namco, Capcom and other third party vendors tend to use different Roms on carts, MX being one of them.
