so i got the chassis and put it in. 2 problems. first, as soon as i fired it up, it was making a clicking sound and the screens brightness was kinda flashing along with the clicks. i fixed this by adjusting the contrast, and playing with the brightness settings. the picture looks good, but i cant turn the contrast up too much.
second, the right side of the screen is kinda compressed, and i have to move the H.Pos all the way to the right to make it fit into the screen. it makes everything on that side look squeezed. is there an adjustment on the chassis to fix this? its like there is not enough room to the right side. any help is appreciated.
Sanwa 29" vga monitor, convert to cga?
playing with the flybacks brightness, the contrast, brightness on the board, etc, made the chassis stop popping. and the picture looks pretty damn good! only think is the squashed right side. i dont think it can be fixed and all in all, it looks WAY better than the VGA converter did. its a toss up really, blocky sprites, and motion blurr, or squashed side.
i listed the chassis in the marketplace if anyone is interested.

so. the flashing thing still happens even after adjusting it, but now it is only when i first turn the game on. after a couple minutes, it stops doing it. either way, does anyone know why it is doing this? i can make it happen if i turn the contrast way up. i am not using an isolation transformer with the chassis....should i be? other than the flashing thing, everything else is great about the rodotron.
