Post by OldFoo »

What other driving games can be played in Jambo Safari Cabinet by simply switching cartraiges.

Crazy Taxi?

18 Wheeler?

Other?

What is most verisitle Standup NAOMI driving Cabinet?

Which is most 'sexy'? Crazy Taxi?

Thanks

I imagine that you can play nearly any Naomi1 game on it (Jambo Safari is Naomi1). However, wiring is the least of your worries. The real problem is actually finding these games. I have seen the Crazy Taxi cart on ebay once in the past 2 years of searching, and it was a crazy amount (pun intended :smt005 ). I usually don't see 18 Wheeler outside it's cab. I've never seen these for sale:

F1 World Grand Prix

Ring Out 4X4

F355 series (usually cabs only)

Difficult to find, but perhaps not impossible. Good luck on your search! :smt004

Only Crazy Taxi can be swapped in a Jumbo Safari.

18wheeler is an optical belt wheel, and custom shifter.

F355 is a custom dual layer Naomi.

There is other games you could play though

Nascar Arcade

Initial D series

Outrun 2

Maximum Tune 1/2

Mario Kart GP 1/2

Club Kart

All these games use the same JVS analogue (pedals, and whels are mapped perfectly), obviously some of these games need extra buttons/shifters.

I know that the deluxe cab for Jambo Safari has specific boards for feedback and such, but doesn't it use the same analog I/O connection for wheel input? Since the Uni cab doesn't have force feedback, couldn't you just use it with the standard wheel and shifter?

the feedback boards are optional, you don't have to use those..

It will work fine on any 270 5K pot wheel, providing the wiring is correct for the JVS I/O

Thanks Andy,

I was gonna get a Jumbo Safari Machine but I think I am going to hold out for Crazy Taxi - More 'Sexy'

Of these Which are 'playable' simply by switching cart's

Jambo Safari 100% compatible - Correct?

Nascar Arcade -

New Shifter?

Extra Buttons?

Initial D series

New Shifter?

Extra Buttons?

Outrun 2

New Shifter?

Extra Buttons?

Maximum Tune 1/2

New Shifter?

Extra Buttons?

Mario Kart GP 1/2

New Shifter?

Extra Buttons?

Club Kart

New Shifter?

Extra Buttons?

Are the 4 way shifters easy to get?

Are the 4 way shifter easy to wire in?

Can I add 1 4 button Panel that will work for all games requiring extra buttons?

Is there a better cabinet that would be more versitile?

Thanks
