Hi,
My Sega I/O v1 rev A works just fine with cart games. No problem at all as it seems. However, as soon as i put a Dimm board and a GD rom i get the infamous message "Jamma i/o not connected...". Some of my games didn't show this message but the controls weren't working and the Service mode informed me that no jamma i/o were present...
Considering it's exactly the same setup and i had not touched anything, the I/o must be kind of faulty, or maybe the mobo ?
Does anyone have an idea ?
Thank you in advance.
Julien
I/O working with cart games but not with GD games...
I've only used non-jamma, rev. B, Capcom, and ver. 2.0 I/O's on most games. I hooked up the one rev. A I have to a Naomi 1 for test purposes (1 or 2 game carts), so I can't say that it causes trouble for the GD setup. Unless anyone else can think of another cause, I say switch over to a rev. B or better.
Howdo Julien, welcome to the forum.
How are you powering all this kit??? Any chance of a photo of your setup.
The only thing I can think of is that your +5V line needs to be turned up a bit. I had a problem with VT (cart) not recognising the I/O but CVSNK & DOA2 being alright. Turn up the 5V & fine.
